Els alumnes de 3r d’ESO arriben a Londres: Shakespeare’s Globe, Tower bridge i Hyde Park

Després d’un cap de setmana d’immersió lingüística a Londres, els alumnes del Col·legi CIDE han gaudit d’un berenar de benvinguda a l’escola Saint Cecilia’s abans d’assistir a la seva primera classe al centre anglès. Seguidament, els estudiants d’intercanvi s’han pujat al metro de Londres ­–conegut com “the tube”– per assistir a una exhibició i aprofitar una visita guiada al Globe Theatre, una rèplica del recinte on es varen representar les obres més important del famós William Shakespeare durant el segle XVI. A continuació, els nostres escolars han recorregut l’àrea de Bankside per fotografiar monuments arquitectònics tan emblemàtics com el London Bridge. Finalment, el grup s’ha adelitat amb un passeig a Hyde Park malgrat les inclemències meteorològiques de la ciutat del Tàmesi.

After a language immersion weekend in London, CIDE students have enjoyed a welcome breakfast at Saint Cecilia’s School before attending their first lesson at the English institution. Afterwards, the exchange students have used the London underground ­–also known as “the tube”– to make their way to an exhibition and a guided tour at the Globe Theatre, a replica of the place where Shakespeare’s most representative plays were performed during the 16^th century. Furthermore, our kids have walked all the way around Bankside to visit such city landmarks as the Tower Bridge. Finally, the group has had a good time with the squirrels at Hyde Park in spite of the bad English weather.
